ORIGINAL DOWNING ST SMEARS VICTIM
RETURNS TO HAUNT NEW LABOUR

Formal Evidence Session on UK Complicity in Torture
Parliamentary Joint Committee on Human Rights
Witness: Craig Murray, former British Ambassador to Uzbekistan
(currently Rector of the University of Dundee).

In 2004, Craig Murray told us that:

– The British Government was complicit in the most vicious forms of torture
– He had been the victim of a lurid smear campaign initiated by New Labour
– The government was lying about all this

In 2004, much of the public and media was not willing to accept that the government would cooperate with torture or with false allegations against an innocent man. Many still had trust in the basic honesty and decency of government.

The evidence that Craig Murray was telling the truth about torture has now become overwhelming, including from the case of Binyam Mohammed. The UK “benefited” continually from intelligence passed on from the CIA waterboarding programme and from torture in countries including Uzbekistan, Pakistan and Egypt.

Craig Murray suffered the most high profile sacking of any British Ambassador for a century. But in 2005 the House of Commons Foreign Affairs Committee refused to hear him in evidence, despite allowing Jack Straw to appear and attack him.

Astonishingly, this is the first time Craig Murray will ever have been allowed to give formal evidence in the UK on his grave allegations, and be questioned on the truth of his testimony.

As the Scotland Yard investigation proceeds into MI5 and MI6 collusion in 16 cases of torture, Craig Murray will argue that it is not the security service operatives, but the Ministers who set the policy – and specifically Jack Straw – who should be facing criminal charges.

Death by Duncan

April 27th, 2009 § 1 comment § permalink

Alan Duncan went on the offensive on Have I Got News For You on Friday (apparently. I haven’t seen it yet).

Miss California had made a remarked somewhere that marraige should be between a man and a woman and on HIGNFY…

Mr Duncan, 51, described blonde Miss Prejean as a “silly bitch”, then added: “I don’t agree with her at all.”

After a pause, he went on: “If you read that Miss California has been murdered, you will know it was me won’t you?”

This comment has given rise to some complaints. One of which…

Metropolitan Police received a complaint from George Hargreaves, the leader of evangelical political party The Christian Party whose members believe that homosexuality is a sin.

“Mr Duncan has crossed the line,” Mr Hargreaves said. “A senior politician suggesting, even as a joke, that it is OK that Miss Prejean should be murdered for her evangelical Christian views is totally unacceptable.

“How can we stop gun and knife crime when the man thinks he will be the next Home Secretary makes death threats?”

Nice to see you standing up for law and order, but where’s the crime?
Did he say the fragrant beauty queen should be murdered to death? Was there a call to restrict her rights and discriminate against her because of who or what she is? No. Alan Duncan joked about himself killing her, because I presume, her beliefs would impede on how he lives his life, which has no effect on how she lives hers.

Is the joking about killing her any different than preaching that homosexuals are going TO HELL!! FOREVER!!?

Hell is a pretty scary place, so I’m told. And a little less easily avoided than an irate Alan Duncan, too (if you believe those stories).

Mrs -O and I have been out for meal tonight. All I can say is, disappointed. In a ‘now what?’ kinda way.

Recently we’ve been to some restaurants in town and been let down with the quality of the food and/or service.
There’s the Italian place that was a bit hit and miss, but generally hit, but then started missing a bit too often. The familiar, kid friendly you-know-what-you’re-getting Pizza Express that suddenly decided their pizzas were too good and didn’t want to put the competition out of business and the Chinese that had a reputation like no other that could do with it being warmed in one of it’s microwaves. The rest, aren’t worth mentioning, apart from one, I am told, that we haven’t visited because once you’ve had the only vegetarian starter of mushrooms, you don’t really want mushrooms again for your main course*.

Where we went tonight is a little the pricey side, but then when the food is good you don’t mind paying. But it wasn’t. It was mediocre. We are also running out of decent places to eat out, too. As far as we see it, there’s a curry house and a Thai restaurant.

The only upside was, they forgot to put £15 worth of drinks on the bill. Oh and the pudding weren’t too bad either, if a little sweet…

*Thinking about it now, that was a while ago and I’ve just looked at their new menu, which we might have to give a go. There is still surprisingly little choice for vegetarians.

BNP bollocks

The Guardian

The British National Party chairman, Nick Griffin, spoke today of a “bloodless genocide” as he defended a party leaflet which says that black Britons and Asian Britons “do not exist”.

The BNP leader was referring to the party’s Language And Concepts Discipline Manual, which says the term used should be “racial foreigners”.

In a BBC interview Griffin said to call such people British was a sort of “bloodless genocide” because it denied indigenous people their own identity.

First of all, it doesn’t need to be said, but I’m gonna say it anyway. Nick Griffin is a cunt.

Collectively, foreign residents of other races should be referred to as ‘racial foreigners’, a non-pejorative term … the key in such matters is above all to maintain necessary distinctions while avoiding provocation and insult.”

Why? Why not just call foreigners ‘foreigners’? Until they have a British passport, and then they can be called British. They’re people just like everybody else in this country, unless of course you’re a rascist cunt that thinks that people with a different coloured skin to yourself are below you, worth less than yourself. Ooh dare I say, untermenschen?

Griffin said to call such people British was a sort of “bloodless genocide” because it denied indigenous people their own identity.

I’m British. Being British is second to me be English. In fact I am so fucking English I have a name that goes back to Saxon times, Does that make me indiginous enough to say that I don’t need these fucking thick bigoted spunk-bubbles telling me how, or against what my identity is formed? My identity has nothing to do with who the fuck snuck over a border on the underside of a lorry or waltzed through terminal fucking three of Heathrow airport.
If there is a ‘bloodless genocide’ it is being unsuccessfully fought by these small-minded half-fuck-wits against anyone that isn’t up to their standard of British.

You can’t say that especially large numbers of people can come from the rest of the world and assume an English identity without denying the English their own identity…

For fucks sake. Just listen to yourself for a minute Mr Cunty. Do you know what your talking about or not? As far as I’m aware ‘especially large numbers’ of people aren’t coming over here and assuming an English identity. From your little mumblings earlier you were saying they were assuming British identities. The two are different. One is a sub-nation of the other. The people coming here tend not to describe themselves by prepending one of the British nations to themselves. How many English Indians are there? How many Welsh Pakistanis are there? I don’t know of any and I’m married into an Indian family. You’ll probably find most people don’t include the colour of they’re skin in their identity either.

…and I would say that’s wrong

That’s because you’re a cunt.

“We don’t subscribe to the politically correct fiction that just because they happen to be born in Britain, a Pakistani is a Briton. They’re not. They remain of Pakistani stock,” he added.

After reading these fuckers, don’t you just want to thoroughly clean your eyeballs…with a chainsaw?
So all these people that are decsendants of the Vikings, the Normans, the Romans, they’re not British either, eh?

our ultimate goal is the orderly, lawful, humane and voluntary repatriation of the resident foreigners of the UK.

So all these people born here but from ancestors that are from foreign climbs are not British, but are foreigners too, there’s not gonna be many people left is there?

And then what? He’ll only complain that there’s no-one to clean the shitter.

“Even if one were to parse the statute more finely…”

Sipson photographer harrassment

Planestupid

Brett, an American student studying for his Masters has been in Sipson for the past month or so, photographing residents whose homes are under threat. We like having him around, but the police don’t, and have regularly stopped and searched him. We don’t understand why, but they’ve been have using section 44 of the Terrorism Act because he is photographing “near Heathrow airport”.

Look on the map. Most of the village is a good mile from the airport.

A fucking mile away! What sort of photos that are gonna be any good for terrorism puproses is he get from there?

Telegraph Twitterfail

April 21st, 2009 § 0 comments § permalink

A measured analysis of why the Telegraph Twitterfall gave us lols. Well, I say measured, it’s a bit more than just ‘hahahaha! Idiots’
I blog, you blog, they blog, weblog

…the Telegraph’s major error in this case was that they put the thing up two days before the budget is actually going to be announced. The amount of natural real-time discussion of the budget was therefore minimal; in the absence of anybody saying anything else, it was possible to hijack what was displayed on the Telegraph site almost by accident – this wasn’t a co-ordinated attack in any sense, just a few people idly goofing around.

It’s as if Newsnight, in the middle of a piece on Bolivian land reform, suddenly announced “and now we’re going over live to the saloon bar of The Dog & Duck to see what their opinion is” – except the patrons of The Dog & Duck hadn’t been discussing Bolivian land reform, and weren’t told anything about Newsnight’s plans until the moment that they blinkingly realised they were on national television. What would you expect? You might get lucky, and someone who’d read the papers might mutter something about Evo Morales’ significance as the country’s first indigenous leader. But most likely there’d be a bemused pause, followed by nervous laughter, followed by someone shouting “wankers!” and Terry getting his knob out.

I’m not sure about the rest of it, to be honest, but the comparison with the pub is spot on.

IT fail

My employer outsources its’ IT stuff to another company and this dialogue box appeared this morning when I logged in.

Leaving aside the fact that I am not happy giving my employee number to anyone outside personel/payroll, where is the box you’re meant to enter the number into?
